Serene Dominic is a New York born, Phoenix, AZ based singer-songwriter, author, music journalist, and now internet show host. To date he has released three studio albums, three singles and several digital EPs. on WorryBird and Bendi Records. He has been a freelance writer for Phoenix New Times since 1993 and has won five Arizona Press Club Awards. His work also appears most frequently in Detroit Metro Times, azcentral.com, the San Antonio Current, Creem Magazine Online, the Dallas Observer, Miami New Times, the Houston Press, and New Times Broward-Palm Beach. In 1999 was named by Feed Online's Critical List as one of the top five rock writers in the country.
After moving to Arizona, he has performed under various stage names including Vic Masters, The Human Torch. and Manalone. In 2003 he authored a book Burt Bacharach, Song by Song, which took a comprehensive look at the composer's half century career. It was published by Shirmer Trade Books/Omnibus Press. In 2005, it was nominated for an ASCAP Deems Taylor Award but lost out to James A. Pegolotti's biograpy of...Deems Taylor!!!!
On November 2007 Serene began the first of his monthly vidcasts produced by KillingTime Productions called "The Serene Dominic Show." The format includes news, a celebrity interview and a music video of a Serene song. To date, his guests have included Girl In a Coma, The Dresden Dolls, Silverchair, Jimmy Eat World, Source Victoria, Blue Cheer, the Meat Puppets, Tech N9ne, The Melvins and the Dropkick Murphys. He is currently working on several projects including a long delayed "comeback album" to be completed when he decides if people want him to come back or not.
